PRIVACY POLICY

Intersections is a daily word game at intersectionsgame.com. This page explains what information the game collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we keep only what's needed to run the game and sync your stats, and you can delete it at any time.
PLAYING WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
You don't need an account to play. Without one, your game progress, statistics, and puzzle history are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. Nothing about your play is sent to our servers except the guesses you submit, which are checked against the word list and not stored.
IF YOU SIGN IN
Signing in is optional. It lets your statistics and streak follow you between devices. When you sign in we store:
- Your email address, used to identify your account, send sign-in links, and contact you about the game.
- If you use Google sign-in: your name and profile picture, as provided by Google. We display your email in the game's Stats panel; we don't currently show your name or picture anywhere.
- Your puzzle history: for each daily puzzle you finish, the date, whether you solved it, how many guesses it took, how long it took, and the words you guessed.
- Your statistics (games played, wins, streaks, best time, guess distribution), which are calculated from your puzzle history.
Account data is held on servers in the United States and is protected so that only you can read or change your own records.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
We rely on third-party companies to host the game, manage sign-in, store account data, send email, and measure how the game is used. They may process your information only to provide those services to us. Hosting and security systems also log standard technical information such as IP addresses.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the game is used — how many people play each day, which devices they use, and which pages they visit. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location and browser. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
ADVERTISING
The game may display advertising. Advertising partners may set their own cookies or similar technologies to measure performance and to show ads they think are relevant, which can include ads based on your activity on this and other sites. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before any such tracking begins, and you will be able to change your mind later.
If you have an account, we may email you about the game — a new feature, a change to how it works, or something we think you'd enjoy. Every message other than a sign-in link includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your ability to play or your saved stats.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not currently sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this page before it takes effect and, where the law requires, give you a clear way to opt out. We may also share information if we are legally required to, or if the game is ever acquired by or merged with another company — in which case this policy continues to apply until you are told otherwise.
Information obtained through Google sign-in is handled according to Google's API Services User Data Policy, which limits how it may be used and transferred.
CHILDREN
We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
DELETING YOUR DATA
- Local data: the RESET button in the Stats panel clears your history and statistics from your browser. Clearing your browser's site data does the same.
- Account data: if you're signed in, RESET also removes your history and statistics from your account. To delete your account and email address entirely, contact us at the address below and we'll do it promptly.
CHANGES
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
